Today's selections, logged before the off
The model's top-rated horse in every British and Irish race today is written down and locked before the off, and never edited afterwards. This page shows today only and rolls over to the new card at midnight — earlier days are kept in the History. While it stays open it re-checks the published results every two minutes.
Finishing positions are checked in automatically from the published race results each time this page is opened. A race stays open until it has been run, weighed in and declared official — if there is a stewards' enquiry or an objection, the result is held back until it is confirmed, so nothing is ever scored on a placing that could still be overturned. Once a position is written down it is never changed, and the strike rate above counts only settled races. The percentage in each row is the figure locked in before that race was run, which is why it can differ from the live number now showing on the Ratings page.
